Top Quality Parts

now that winter is almost over it's time to spend some cash
i'm still not sure on weather i'm going to paint her black or blue
but i figure by the time i finish with all this i should have my mind made up.........

anyway here's my list let me know what you all think
and so who makes the best stuff ?????

1) functional Ram Air II hood & air box

2) louvers for the front fenders the few places i've tried have not
really had much to offer.......

3) door popping kit i need a complete set up

So what do you think where should i go for these parts?
i really don't mind spending a little more cash now if it's worth it in the long run you know what i mean....

i'm also thinking about adding
the kitt nose for both the look & extra lighting
i've already ordered a set of 17 X 9.5 TT II'S

but what's the best size and brand tire for the new rim's ???????
and last but not least after the rim's are on i'm figure out how much i'm going to lower her........

here's what she looks like now.

I don't mean to sound rude or anything, and I am strictly giving my opinion here... The 1991-92 nose and ground effects are the absolute best looking ones on the third gen cars. Once again, that is my opinion only! I wouldn't change the nose or the ground effects at all if I were you. My car is a 1992, blue, with a Trans Am Turbo hood from American Sports Car Designs, and I like the way it looks on that car. I also like the ram-air hoods, so that would be a good choice. I would like for my car to be about 1 inch lower, and time is starting to show on my paint, but otherwise, I am pleased with how it is.

Hope that you can make yours into whatever it is you want it to be. I also wouldn't shave the door handles and have the automatic door opening kit, etc... I have a friend who installed that on his truck, but it gave him some trouble. Just my opinion on that, too.

As rare as the 1991-92 model cars are around here, there isn't any way I modify mine too much beyond the original shape. I mostly see the mid to late 80's firebirds around here. I also see a whole lot more camaros than the F-birds. That is pretty normal, I figure.

If I were you, I would get a nice hood for it, and then paint the whole thing, door jambs and under the hood, too. Once i was done with that, i would add the rims that you already bought, along with some nice tires. I would then take the rest of the money and use it to work on any thing that the interior might need, and then look at performance and handling upgrades such as:
Lowering/performance springs, aftermarket shocks and struts, poly suspension bushings, etc... YOu can also pirate a posi disc brake rear out of a another car, and also get the swaybars out of an Iroc, TA, or Formula. The sway bars out of a junkyard car would be a cheap mod, too! Then work on your exhaust and engine. For the cost of the Knight Rider nose and shaved door handles, you could do several of the mods listed above. That's what I would do, and have done to my own car.

Good luck with it!
