I don't recall using a spring compressor.
Spring, ball joint, spindle all stay in place. Will need a jack or some blocks under the A-arm though.

That's pretty much what I recall.
Undo the bottom two bolts, undo the top nut, remove old strut, install strut, release the cord holding compressed new strut, attach bottom two bolts, done.
Why do they call this "strut" a "strut" when it's a variation? if correct?
Real struts go thru coil springs, true?
