I'm always replacing, or tuning something on mine. That's just because it's up to 108k miles, tho.
Next will be a timing chain and distributor rebuild.

Are you doing a pun on "brake"? Or just not saying break?
Anyway, my car had the usual, rear tires, I-pipe, water-pump, some wiring problems a few fuses, and front pads in the 6 months I had it on the road. Oh yeah and I replaced the Fuel tank before I sold it.

Thank the employees at either Van Nuys Ca or Norwood Ohio for assembling a good car for you!
I had a 1975 Vega from Day One brand new.
I couldn't kill it, either.
I really enjoyed the car I got after the Vega, a 1975 Opel Fuel Injected Sport Wagon (I owned for 151,000 miles & two coasts of America).
But I lust after a Vega again (for drag racing only!).
BUT nothing is as utilitarian as this 1985 Firebird.
I swallowed 4 four foot by eight foot sheets of wood the other day.
Ya should have seen it after the tile I loaded into the rear hatch. I went & got new rear shocks the next day! after that load of tile!
Lawn mowers are nothing to the back hatch area. Just another load of stuff.

Very rarely. The first 2 years I had my car a lot of things broke. My car is in the shop like once a year now. Last thing that broke on my car was my shift handle back in January. Haven't had a problem since. I really hate it when something goes wrong with my car and I can't fix it.

I have small things that go bad on mine, stuff like a sensor going out or an exhaust leak, but I did rebuild my motor 10,000 miles ago. Also wiring issues, one my fault but the others just due to age. Check your vaccum hoses.
I need to replace my rotors, they are getting a little warped.
I need to replace my rotors, they are getting a little warped. Yea same here. I am always replacing the little things on my car, like sensosrs and exhaust leaks. The thing that I hate is that the stuff that breaks on my car is always the things that are a pain in the a$$ to fix. That really pisses me off. But, other than that nothing major.

One thing I hate is when you actually want to work on your car there's nothing that needs to be done. But when you have no time to do anything to the car thats when something decides to break. My waterpump broke in half
when I got to work and had to skip the afternoon to fix it and then go back to work to finish off my day, best damn 20 hour work day ever.
when I got to work and had to skip the afternoon to fix it and then go back to work to finish off my day, best damn 20 hour work day ever. well I had my car for a year as of last month, here's what I fixxed -
New struts and shocks - brand X from Checker Auto
Used rear tire - 1 nail got the best of old one.
Throttle position sensor - Cuased the car to stall at every stop.
MAF - stallin my car also.
Cruise Control Servor - still not cruising...
New Springs -
oh my exhaust fell off. lets not forget that, it was a good laugh with my friends on the way home from the market.. Loud as hell. everything from 6" infront of the catalyticConv and back fell off.
Took off pass. side exh manifold to pull out broken stud.. Fun
Speedo Cable -
Thermostat -
Radiator -
New Cap & Rotor + Wires / plugs
....seems like im missing some parts.. that's all I can think of for now.

Hm; last thing that "broke" was last year, around Jan or Feb, when my injectors started leaking. Other then that, no problems. Still gotta replace the injectors though

Fortunately for me, when things go wrong on my car, it usually occurs in the driveway or parking at my dorm, so I am never stranded. Come to think of it, stuff only breaks down when I am ideling or parked, never when I am driving. I find that very odd.

Yeah, that was a wierd one, just like how how my shift light comes on in my auto.
Here is an update on my shift light:
First of all, the shift up light works like it is suppossed to, except the way it is set-up is that it expects you to upshift all the time which is why the light stays on while cruising.
Lol, you would think the light would go out in 4th gear since you can not upshift anymore (auto trans).
I'll have to take the guage cluster completly out and figure what bulb goes to what and what it does if I ever want to stop seeing that light.

I have never had a problem yet but I will usually replace something before it goes bad. It is easier for me to say this becaue my dad is a mechanic and he usually knows a cars personality. Basically he knows what goes wrong with certain setups on cars because when he would work on them it was usually the same problem on all of them.

Actually, it's because someone put a bulb into the shift light socket; it should be empty. RBob told us a while ago that the TCC (torque convertor clutch on the automatic trans) shares the same circuitry as the manual tranny's upshift light.
So when his Shift light comes on and stays on, it's really showing that his TCC has gone into lockup mode. Solution is what Devian said he had to do; yank the bulb, it shouldn't have been there at all.
