v6 is in the final days.......

so in 3 weeks im dropping in a 350 with a new tranny
im getting the hookup from a freind and his dad who KNOW what there doing and talking about, and ima going to even get to participate in the gutting and reinserting the whole engine process
going to be a fun hands on expeirience (sp)

--$1200$--

well there dropping in a 350 that makes for about 340 horse (so they tell) at the wheel!!

i was wondering if there are any formulas or anything to guesstimate a possible ETA for 1/8 and 1/4 track times??

im guessing low to mid 8's 1/8
and high 12's to low 13 1/4

The only way to tell is hit the track and post some numbers for us to see. I would say low 13's myself, but that is just a guess. Who knows your time slips may surprise me.

I'm guessin it'll run 18s.

No, really. It should run at least that.

waaaay too many variables to call that. Need to know induction, exhaust, cam, heads, weight, and gearing/tranny to give you a good estimate of what she'll run.

As soon as you get it, get to the track, and post results!

If it reall does produce 340 RQHP

IT hsould get roughly 12.7 1/4 time...

I would love to find out how and how much this swap will cost ya! I have a 2.8 and was many times thinking about dropping in a badass 350.

Am I correct in saying that in a swap like that I would need (besides the engine)?
1)Transmission
2)Wiring Harness
3)Engine Mounts
4)Torque Converter

swap should be pretty simple if you go with the carbed 350 route, then you won't have to worry about changing out computer accesories and whatnot, just start pulling lightbulbs (SES light etc lol). But Tranny, engine, and mounts would be the needed, radiator would be a good idea, past that wouldn't take much. Emissions is what most of us have to worry about....grrr.

yeah, they know what there doing and i dont, so ima learn me something bout building a custom engine

there were like if we have it 2 days we can make it a 12 to 13 sec car, if we keep it a week we can make it a 10-11 sec car

im feeling leaving it when i hav to get back to work
but no extra car to get to work in

(it is a carb 350)
