I was just wondering if the 3.1 5 speed is a T5 and if it can be used for a v8. thanks.

It is a T5, but from what I'm told, the input shaft is smaller.

And if you're thinking about getting a custom clutch and pilot to get around that, think again. The torque ratings on a V8's T-5 are horrible enough (ever wonder why chevy never officially put them behind L98s?).. the torque ratings on the V6's T-5 are even worse. If that V8 is producting any decent power, it would snap a V6's T-5 like a twig.
