Cherry bombs are old and *******. I wouldn't bother with them. Flowmasters are not a bad idea but they don't flow as well as some other brands. Dynomax, Borla and others.
I don't know how that would really sound on a six cylider. I wouldn't spend the money just to change the sound. Just my $0.02.

get an intake first..then do exhaust
and it doesnt really matter how well flowmasters or any other brand for that matter flows because its a v6
any of them will flow plenty, so if your gonna do it, just go for sound- ive heard that a flowmaster sounds really nice on a 60* v6 so yea, i think itd be good (i might be gettin a flow catback after my gears and stuff, so im bias
one thing i would recommend though..is after the intake and like catback exhaust (im guessing that whats your looking at) get a new y pipe while your at it, the stock one is more like a t-pipe and its very restrictive
im pretty sure you can take a y pipe off a 3.4 and itll bolt right up
hope that helps

Don't know how a Flowmaster CATBACK sounds on a 6...but I've heard just a muffler on a 2.8 and it sounded like crap. Burbly and r!cey. Wasn't a pleasant tone at all...accentuated all the things I don't like about the V6 exhausts. And it got really nasty at the upper revs.
The Dynomax system, I think, makes a good sound. Upper rpms retains ALMOST the stock tone...but low rpms it's REALLY deep...like, 305 deep. You would be amazed if I started it up in the garage...sounded just like a 305 at idle...and VERY mean sounding at about 1100 rpms. Very quiet with a cat though....decibels is barely over stock.
