gauges

alright, the other day i was changing my speakers in the front and had the dash off, soon after removing the dash pad i thought i'd clean the guage glare panel behind the gauges. So, after strugling to get the front plate around the anti-theft bracelet on my steering column i finally got things out of the way and started pulling the guages towards me, when something caught my eye. Stuck to the sides of the instruments was a small (now brown) piece of paper, i pulled a good portion of the paper off and it read "1985 Pontiac F-Car LG4 gauges" . As we all know the LG4 was the 305 and i was wondering if there was a difference between the gauges in a 305 LG4 car and the one in mine? just curious, i seem to remember the v8's having the 60psi oil pressure, but that's the only one that's coming to mind, what about the Tach? Just curious about all this fun stuff...thanx.

IF ya have the option for having a same style same year V-8/V-6 guage package side by side
The V-8 tach will have a removalable chip.
On it says "8"
The same with the 6 tach, yes it has a "6" on that chip.
Oil pressure gauge has a 80 PSI on 6ers, oil for the V8 is up to only 60PSI.
Same thing with the oil sensors for a V8/V6.
You'll see stamped a 60 on one & an 80 on the other.
I know
I discovered I bought a "8" gauge package for my car & I converted it to a "6" gauge package.
