My suggestion is to do a search on the Aftermarket Vender Review board and perhaps you could turn up something more there...

I did, didn't come up with anything useful.

If I did get ripped off, is there anything I can do? I mean can the credit card company do anything, or should I notify somebody if it's a scam? I'm gonna wait a day or two to see if I get any response, but if not, I hope there's something I can do. That's two damn weeks of work, 80 freakin hours and $450 down the drain if I can't do anything.

Call your Creditcard company- They will definately handle it for you. Thats the beauty of using creditcards- They carry insurance to protect your purchase.

well i just called my credit card company. they said to fill out some form on the back on my previous statement, and mail it in, and they'll charge the other guy's bank account for the amount he charged me. the only thing is it'll take 4-6 weeks. hopefully the guy won't split before they do it. oh yeah, they also they have a phone number in their records for that company that wasn't on their website so i just called it. it picked up and goes "hi, this is the voice mail of robin".......WTF??!!

i left a message with "robin" saying to call me back when she got it, and i'll find out if she's involved w/ the company, or whether they provided the credit card company with just some random number. she prob. won't call back at all though.

well just keeping yall updated, i'm SO F*CKING pissed off about all this.....from now on i'm ordering from jegs or summit no matter what, despite a higher cost.

Thanks for keeping us posted! Credit card companies are normally pretty good about getting your money back. I've never had a problem and I've had weird sh*t show up on my statement that I NEVER bought or anything and call them right up and they take care of it. I hope that you get things straightened out!!

I also decided to try and help your cause and took it upon myself to call their phone number as well and got the whole "disconnected" bit. But I do have something interesting to tell you. I picked up my phone and dailed their fax number and guess what??? I got through to a fax machine!! If you have something you would like to fax, like a memo or something, e-mail it to me and I'd gladly fax it for you if you cannot. The fax number is 305-861-2927.

Absolutely, anything I can do to help the thirdgen crowd!! Heck I definately know that everyone has always been there to answer any questions that I've ever had! If I hear anything back from them I will let you know. I faxed it as of 4:45 PM EST.

i thought this was kinda strange...i just called my credit card company again to find out if there have been any charges made on the card outside of my city since the date my card got charged by RaceNet One. They said there wasn't anything at all. That makes me wonder even more what is going on with that company, cause I'd think that if your intention was to rip people off (which maybe it is and maybe it itsn't, i'm not sure yet), you wouldn't stop at taking their money from an order. I mean, the guy has my credit card number, my name, and the expiration date....he could buy anything he wanted to with it, but he hasn't. Oh well, hopefully I'll get some answers soon.

Yeah, that's what's nice about dealing with such a big name like Summit (or even Jegs, blah)... you know it's no scam. Hopefully it's something stupid like their building burnt down or something, and you're not being ripped off... did you do a search on google.com for their name and specific keywords (like "racenet one scam" or "racenetone ripped off" or "racenetone don't buy from"?

yeah i did, but i didn't find anything at all....and then the fact that they haven't used my credit card for something makes me wonder if its not a scam, but something stupid just happened....this is too damn confusing
