Exhaust to tranny hanger
There is a rubber hanger from the tail end of the 700r4 to the back of the cat. How do I replace this because mine's ripped?
I THINK I know what ya speak of.
I was just under car today.
I believe it's all metal.
YET
IF NOT
YA may have to seek wrecking yard replacement.
Get this part from a 4th gen w/V-6 of 60* cause it shouldbe same, & newer
Ya damage this due to the CC installation?

no, it's got a cloth type material riveted to the tranny hanger, and hangs down where the i-pipe & cat meet. might be able to find universal hanger for it.
I used to look at this thing often as I drilled out those tranny bolts & "attempted" toput in the I-pipe on my car.

If I hit the yards, doesn't that mean I gotta bring a drill w/ me too? Dang I wish there was a universal replacement.
Actually this is just the result of old wear n tear. The CC replacement just pushed the rubber/cloth to its limits and tore the sucker. Now when I accelerate from a dead stop or brake hard, the car goes CLUNK, and its not tranny related because I have the polyurethane tranny mount, but I know that exhaust hanger is ripped.

Same thing here (hanger ripped due to aftermarket high-flow cat stretching the hanger to extremes). Hanger should unbolt from the cat; there's a bracket that bolts to the cat-to-i-pipe flange. Getting the hanger off the trans requires un-doing some of the torque arm bracket bolts, if I recall correctly.
