Coil and EGR bracket

How do I take this off? I believe I can get away w/ removing the valve covers w/o disassembling the plenum. This is the only thing in the way (besides the alternator and tensioner). I think I can get a wrench under the plenum to remove the valve covers.

it bolts to the exaust manifold, if you can get a socket or wrench up in there and break the bolts loose, you should be able to move it out of your way.

Or.... you could always just bend it out of the way like i did, and then bend it back in place. Its just a silly bracket, nothing important.

All bolts are 15mm.
Two bolts ontop on manifold.
IF ya figure out a way, good going.
You are a Valadictorian
But I tried and just removed the stuff.
I had cover loose, too.
It was teh driver side that screwed me over.
Loose, but no allow past the middle intake part to get off
PISSED
Took all of extra 15 minutes & reused original gaskets again.
NOT valve cover, of course.
Do ya know which is the noisy lifter?

OK so I guess I'd have to soak those in PBlaster, because they're on the manifold. I don't know which lifter it is, but I know there's at least one on each side, so replacing my valve covers won't go to waste!

I think it just takes a bit of patience w/ an odd combination of sockets to get the valve covers off w/o removing the plenum. I think the biggest thing I'm afraid of is depressurizing the fuel system and breaking anything related to the fuel rail. Don't wanna touch that!
