Should I Buy?
Hey Guyz.... I gotz a real quick question for all of ya.
I'm lookin at buyin a guys '89 2.8 Firebird and wanted all of your opinions on it. Here's what I know about it:
'89 2.8L Firebird
-T-Tops
-Primer gray in color..... no rust
-T-5 Tranny.... some parts just replaced not sure which
-WS6 Rims
-255/50 Rear Tires - 215/50 Front Tires
-New Flowmaster Muffler
-No Headliner
I'll add more to that later!
My question is.... he wants $1400 for it.... is it worth it? I have my '88 Camaro but it needs lots of work.. so I was thinkin of gettin another 3rd gen. Also... could you guys post some pics of '89 firebirds for me.... I'm not sure what they look like!! Thanx!!

T tops are a cool option to have, I wish I had them. 89 was a good year, final year for the 2.8 but many things were fixed finally. Electronic speedo is a biggie on the Firebird.
Here's my car, not a factory color, but then again, its gonna get painted a GM color soon enough!

$1400 for that one? Id let my car go for $1800, because it only has 104k miles. The body is straight and the paint speaks for itself. The engine is mechanically sound, except for a slight lifter tick that I'm gonna fix and the fact that it burns 1/2 a quart of oil every 3 months. My interior is pristine, steam cleaned the other day and I have a new headliner also. If ya have pix of the car, I'd be glad to give ya an opinion on it.
These pix were taken the day of my prom, so the bird had to look good !

id say get it, make sure u check everything like the lines and all that good stuff for corrosion and dry rotting, those little things can start to take a toll on your budget. but t-tops are an awesome option, i wish i wouldve shopped around to get a bird with them

(choking on coffee) My 2 rides, eh?
Don't let ride #2 see that pic!
Is it primer gray colored, or is it actual gray primer? Spray-can-primer isn't waterproof; it absorbs water. There might be a buttload of rust sitting under that primer.
Proof of primer not stopping rust:

NEVER
EVER
LET GO
of your High School Car.
My Father talked me into letting go of my 1966 Corvette, after I had the car in an accident.
Still sold it for more than what paid to purchase!
My 1974 Corvette is the car I used for my wedding.
My Wife's 1968 Camaro is what we used to take our Son home in from Santa Monica hospital (drove down Route 66, to the Pacific Coast Highway, went to Malibu, back home to Santa Monica with a brief stop at driving down Santa Monica Pier).
Ya can't let those moments be driven away by other for only money.
Smart ones EARN LOTS OF INCOME to support their car crazy habits!
How does Amber feel about being a Bond Girl?
She fits the part quite well! ;>
Great picture!
I used my 66 for the Senior Prom.
I installed the White HardTop for the Formal look!
