what you should realy do, especially on intake, is get real gaskets i have even heard you can get a roll of gasket material and cut your own (tomp). if you do use rtv some extra may come off and get jammed some where. clogging your intake. all in all it should be worth your time/money to go with gasket set/own gaskets.

I did get real gaskets. I got pretty much all the gaskets to rebuild the upper half of my engine (which is what im doing). And the intake is next to go on. I wanted to know if i should use a little rtv w/ the gasket like you would use with the valve cover gaskets.

P.s. The gaskets are not cork if that helps any

Dont use it on the intake parts! If you want some extra sealing use Hylomar (aircraft sealant). It is just like silicone but wont dry out, just spread a paper thin layer of it on and you wont have any problems, even makes the gasket reuseable sometimes.
