well guys, continuing with the damn internet scam that happened to me a couple weeks ago....

eBay just e-mailed me saying an unauthorized user tried to use my card. wonderful! i know the credit card company will deal with all this, and won't charge me for stuff i didn't charge, but i'm just sick of all this s***. i also just finished filling out a form for the IFCC (Internet Fraud Complaint Center), www.ifccfbi.com. They're direcetly involved with the FBI, and investigate all this kinda crap. Well just keeping yall posted, I'm about to call my credit card company now and make sure no charges have been made out of Augusta. I'm sure if he's trying to use it on eBay, he'll try to use it other places too. Man, I hope this guy gets nailed. i'll keep you updated...

i think this is the post, i didn't re-read it carefully though. if it doesn't explain.....in short, bought a hood, business wasn't reachable after purchase, never got hood, credit card got charged for item, and then today, they tried to use my credit card # on ebay.

 

I'm sorry to hear about all that man, I never did get a reply to your fax. I'm glad that your credit card company is handling it, and I hope it all comes to an end soon enough. I'm pretty sure they can track down the person using it and such if they used it on E-Bay to buy something I'm sure they also provided a shipping address to deliver the items or what not they purchased on Ebay...


Why are you selling your car by the way?

 

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it will all work out fine in the end, I just don't like not being sure for so long. As for my car, I was planning on doing an engine swap, but I don't have the time or money for that yet. When my car sells, I'll be buying an '88 z28. yeah i know, i'll be leaving the v-6 boards but the new car is sweet

yep, if we catch "Carlos Rodriguez", i'll want everything done to him that can be done (suing, fined, imprisoned.....whatever can be done).

i think we might be able to get him through ebay. when you register for ebay, you have to have a valid e-mail address and they verify your address. so i don't have a working email address for him but ebay does. even if it's a hotmail or yahoo account, if the right people get involved, they can trace it back to the computer it's being used on. that's the best i have so far....i thought the credit card company would have valid info on him, but the phone # they gave me is one of the ones listed on the website, which has been disconnected. i'll let yall know when new stuff happens....eBay should be e-mailing me back later today or tommorow with info about the user that tried to use my credit card...i'll keep yall posted.
