Im new on here and would like to know what other people are running in the 1/8 with their mods. I have a fastchip, K&Ns, Flowmaster, and a shiftkit on my 2.8 and ran an 11.72 my first time out. What can I do to make it faster for cheap, I will NOT do NOS.

 

you could refrech the timing chain, use better plugs, wires, cap, rotor and coil. clean the fuel system... the list goes on and on brother. My 2.8 ran about the same times as yours bone stock. so your right somethings not working right. Give it one massive and extensive tune up, see what happens.

 

TomP's tune up. Stock (except for removing the cat) got me a 10.909 @ 64.64 mph. All the way to a slightly stretched timing chain, and one clogged injector!

 

Forgot to mention... with the new bumped timing, and open airbox, I'm projecting around a 10.8-10.85 in the 1/8th now.

Tho, with the turbo, I should be a 9.3 or so in the 1/8th mile

The car was bogging off the line though w/ the 2.73's. Now it just jumps. With tires, I expect below a 2.0. These Kumho 711's suck though.

 

with my stock motor plus a cold air intake...i ran 10.7xs. i now have run a 9.86 with a 60' time of 2.19. this is a v6. all is stock from flywheel backwards.
