Which diagnostic software?
Im real sorry for posting this on 3 boards now, it just seems the ECM and PROM boards are dead and if thats a problem, please delete the posts.
Now onto my question, I ordered a ALDL cable from this site http://www.customefis.com/cableorder.html...Now I have a 91 RS 3.1 and was curious as to which software supports my motor.
Its purely for diagnostic purposes, I don't want to program and proms. All I ever see is support for 5.7's and 5.0's. Anyone know which one to use? Thanks.

I think it's only a 2.8 thing
No one has made one for the 3.1L. But like was said in the other post ours are SIMILAR to the TPI's but there are differences enough that it will not work.
Perhaps you can be the first to get it to work!!

I don't understand, why is there so much neglect for the 90-92 3.1 in this market. Is it really that hard to figure out or do they just get kicked aside? I see that WinALDL supports the 2.8 on 85-86 models, but why has no one begun any work on the 3.1?

My guess is that the 2.8 probably shared more characteristics with some other V8 engines or something so that to be able to make it function with the 2.8 there was only minimal editing involved where as they never put the R&D into getting it to work with the 3.1L.
Perhaps you could e-mail the maker of WinALDL and ask him. Perhaps he already knows the settings in which you need to change.

Probably hasn't ever been done. It's only like 2-3 years worth of cars. *yawns*
I suppose I'll have to address this as my turbo kit project moves to the MAP based 3.1s
