drove her for the last time.........
before i pulled the 3.1 and setup my V8 motor mounts
this morning i woke up at 8:30, felt a little sleepy, but had a rage inside me i had to take care of
after figuring out what parts i would need and placing a $300 order with Jegs on friday morning, i knew the 3.1 was no longer for me
let me first say that whoever says going from a 60* V6 to a V8 is hard by any means, they obviously have never done it
while the 305 is not in yet per say, judging by my knowledge of past experiences and all sorts of work i have performed on my 2 f-bodies, i cant (with a clear mind) forsee any problems whatsoever
the parts car cost me $600, the TH350 tranny cost me $150, most of the parts i ordered from Jegs werent mandatory, but prefered by choice, so lets say it cost me $800 TOTAL to do this swap
maybe i can write a tech article on the V6 to V8 swap mosh pit (sorry i dont like to boogie, but i respect those who do
)
btw check out the link in my sig for all sorts of V6 goodies up for sale
carpe diem!

MOSH PIT BABY!!!!
Er sorry... heh... you know, I haven't seen an artice on a 6 to 8. Go for it man!
I take it you're going carb, tho?
It's my personal opinion that 99% of the swap problem is in the electronics!

yeah, i'm going with a carb, although i might switch to EFI in the future
with the Speed Density cars (not sure about the MAF cars) it easy to modify the 3.1 harness to be able to use a TPI setup
having a parts car definetly helped, but even without its not impossible
i'm going to getting going now and start writing the mosh pit article
