MPFI air intake

I'm thinking about making some kind of an air intake for my MPFI 2.8. I want to make it draw in air from behind the grille and i was wondering if anyone has done anything like this and how successful they were.
P.S. it has the dual filters..

don;t make a cold air intake COLD AIR INTAKES ARE 4 the fast and furious

heres my helpfull guide to beefing up the intake on the 2.8
this is what i did on my 85 Berlinetta and got an honest 2 tenths dropped on my ET
17.49-stock

17.27-modded

step#1 invest in two k&n filters that fit into the stock air box
Step#2 remove the air filters, see those round looking baffles get a 7mm socket and ratchet and take em out (notice the now nice and big air openings in the air box were the filters sit)
step#3 install the k&n filters and go have some fun

LOL, as long as you don't spend $150 on a foot-long anodized red pipe and a cheap chrome filter, you'll be okay.

Yep 6 sounds better. I buy the stuff you can get any any home center. Hi temp gas dryer hose. about 50 feet for $15. I got it on everything. Ram air for the bird and wagon and intake/exhaust hose for my computer. I have a 2000+ cfm case fan.

I like to breath cool fresh air and so does my toys.
