How long...
whats the maximum length in feet that our intake tubing can be? Because I was thinking of getting that Home Depot space saver elbow to run an intake through the right fender and leave the filter down there. Would it be too long of an intake? It's just a lil brainstorming. What I have now sucks because the air in the engine bay is too hot.
Why the ride for sale? What happened to the headliner ya were getting or got?
Do as I did.
Make air come in from bottom
Make air come in from top
Use factory air can, modify the top lid to catch air better.
See me & I'll show ya the HOKEY AIR SET UP!
Don't knock it as it works great and the air filter INSIDE THE AIR CAN gets dirty!
Yeah all ya doing is sucking in hot air.

Anyways I don't want to have a HUGE GAP between my headlight and my hood. I just got it repainted and that would just look so WRONG! When I replaced my fender I couldn't stand driving it around... Looked wrong. I figure if I have a slow car, it might as well look good.

I love having 134a. I bought the recharge kit 6 months ago. My A/C is low, I charge it myself for $5 and it blows ice cubes again. :lala:

You'll get a quicker immediately throttle response with the intake you have now...but if you added one extra piece and dropped it into the fender, it wouldn't impact the system TOO much. It WOULD pick up air that's a lot cooler, so the car would ALWAYS haul ***** instead of hauling ***** for the first 10 minutes of driving and then getting sluggish. The trick isn't so much the length of the tubes, as it is the bends in the tubes. The smoother and less angled you can make the whole system, the better.
SORRY!
I read the signature "wrong!"
GREAT going on the AC topping off.
Like I said, $40/$60 & I was right in line.
Come see my set up & you'll see how I feed cool air to the air box.
That idea can be duped without the additional hood alteration I add.
I added that as that hood & headlight door is damaged & will be replaced so I butchered the originals for idea testing.
This pic is the majority of the air inlet set up. I feed the air thru a tube thru the fender & it exits infront of the factory air box.
THE BIGGEST GAIN is in the straight shot from the air box to the mouth of the top manifold.
I had to reuse that "box" from air cleaner to the top manifold (for smog test) & I swear I lost highway passing speed.
