Fuses (and a junk yard trip)
Fuses (and a junk yard trip)
I went to the junkyard today and noticed something. When looking at the RS I was stripping I noticed two metal fuses in the fuse block (30 Amp) and I remembered that I had normal plastic fuses in my camaro.
What is the difference? I took them since they were in all my manuals as metal fuses, but none of them told me the difference.
I also got a MAF Duct, a few Wiring Harness's, a Sun Visor (mine was stripped) an Air Dam, a new Door Handle and some hood shocks since I noticed they worked! (mine never have, I just use a rifle stock to hold my hood up)
I also got extra proms for the ECM. Not that I need them, just figured it would be good to have extras.
Anyway, Whats the word on those fuses?

a rifle stock? thought these cars came stock with a sawed off broom handle, you must have lost yours
Yea, I will post a picture of the rifle stock in action tomorrow. A retirement shot, well, for a month anyway till these hydros go out.
You would swear the stock was meant to hold a camaro hood, it fits so perfectly in the notches of the hood.

Oh! I almost forgot...
While I was there removing the air dam I noticed some like.. oldsmobile or something next to the camaro. No big deal except, wait... what is that on the engine?
Our same 2.8 MPFI plenum all shined up and quite sexy if I say so myself. The car was front wheel drive so it was sideways but is was the same exact thing for sure.
The coolest thing? It was red and black on the little logo. I did not have the tools for it today, but I will tomorrow... and even better is the fact that it is half price day at the junk yard. I am so set.
I will post pictures of that bad boy as well.
