Got it back home
Used duct tape over suspected hole/weak spots on heater hose, discovered a pin hole in the Y-pipe thing where the tb coolant hoses are. Didn't see it there last night. Hard wired the fuse jumper w/wire on the coolant fan relay & had it going the whole way back, about 200 yards. Well, so that no good deed goes unpunished, the car runs out of gas 1/2 way there
. Cop car pulls up behind me, he gets out & helps me push to the "U" turn, I coast the rest of the way.
I then grab the gas can, fill it up, & drive it up the driveway. I then do a quick assesment & play w/the distributor a bit & then notice where the front exhaust leak is. WHere the flange meets the donut gasket. I could see blue flames like a spark plug firing
, it's right behind where the O2 sensor is on the 3.4 exhaust manifolds.
Repair list:
Coolant
7' of 3/4" coolant hose
5/16 7/16 vacuum hose for the evap cannister lines that melted
Vacuum hose whatever size the hard plastic lines are.
Splice replacement wire on the MSD & hope it works,m & give it a new paint job.
edit: forgot, lower radiator hose
and the front end alignment, but that can wait
