Bah, another idle problem.

here's the problem. I can't get the car to idle. It drives fun untill I come to a stop and then it just turns off. It pulls hard enough on the highway and everything, but it can't stay alive when not moving. When I rev it stoped and let off the gas it makes a crackling sound. Ive changed the MAF, Oxy sensor, plugs, wires, dist, and IAC. The cat doesn't look too old and I was hitting it before (half outa frustation) and there wasn't any rattle. Ive reset the comp, set the idle with that guide on this site and im pulling my hair out on this one. Im going to get a Fuel pressure gauge tom and test that but do you guys have any other ideas?

Check for vacuum leaks. Things like the power booser can be a major cause of leakage over time, the pcv valve system, etc etc.

Also, when my cat was plugged, the car would idle but not accelerate worth a sh*t. Was funny, floor the gas, and slowly get to 30. Very very very slow like, but would idle fine. *shrug*
