Hm, I'm assuming the starter turns the engine over. First off, I would go and check your ignition system for spark and see if your problem lies there. You could have a bad module, coil, rotor or a cap even. If that stuff is okay, (blue spark or bright bluish spark), then I would go and check your fuse block and see if there is anything blown there that might cause your fuel injectors to not spray. Hm, other than that, I'm not too sure depending on what the situation is. Might have to have someone run a scanner or a scope on it and see if the ECU is throwing any codes. Good luck.

the starter works....the engine turn and turns......but never starts!! before i replaced the fuel filter, it would start, but wouldnt stay running. now i replaced it, and the fuel leaked out of the open gas lines while changeing, could it be air in the lines causeing this, and if so how would i fix that!!

Hm, odd. I've replaced them many times and it would run. Hows the starter? Can you hear it prime? It's also possible that the starter relay could be bad. I've replaced that before as well, the relays are fairly cheep. Should be on the drivers side of the firewall. Don't remember which one it was exactly though.

I don't know what happens when you do this...but is it possible you put the filter in backwards?

Get a fuel pressure gauge.

How long have you been working on this? Isn't the gauge worth it by now?? I mean seriously dude, we can only help so much before we're just throwing crazy ideas out there.

Hell I could tell you that your TPS is stuck at WOT and the ECM is going into clear flood mode and not turning the injectors on- and you could go through the diagnostic and $40 for a new sensor when it turns out your fuel pump was bad the whole time, and now you're out $40 for replacing the good sensor, days worth of diagnostic time, AND you've gotta replace the pump still!

See what I mean?

Check the module. I think Auto Zone can test it for you if you don't have a way to test it. That might be it.
