no one makes a turbo for our car. You have to do all the work your self. Talk to Doward about this, as of now, i think he's the only guy that had a running 2.8L F-body with a turbo. BTW, the search button is your friend.

Correct... Vortex and I are in the upper R&D (Working prototype) stages of a turbocharger setup for these vehicles.
Honestly, we're building this with every intention of marketing it. A LOT of custom fabrication is going into it.
First priority was 'Will the 2.8 block handle it?'
Answer - Yes. A $300 "Jesus that's ugly, but dang if it doesn't work!" setup running 6 psi proved that. A little trouble with the oil pan, though... that'll be fixed this week, and October 4th, we'll have dyno numbers (probably at 8psi)
Next is re-doing the custom downpipe, to eliminate the stock DSM oxygen housing. With that out of the way, the setup will accept ANY turbocharger on the planet - with just a different exhaust flange....
More updates as they come up... Hopefully next Wednesday will see some track times!

Thanx for the props. It's true.. we had it running... and thats not all... we ran it against a known 16.8 Dodge ram... The truck will take my car from a go cuz it gets traction, and sad to say the torque is more than my Mustang. However, at 3K, the turby kicked in we smoked him like a fatty... heh heh.. it wasnt a kill but we pulled on him, and that was me driving with D in the pass seat... still it was against BJ who is just shy of 300 lbs, in a 5000 lb truck. so with one person, and tuning... I see at least 16 flat, but i think its a little better than that, considering the engine was sucking in some oil do to a small problem, but we got that worked out, and with Doward and I off Sat, we're gonna rock on this and get er' done. And I just wanna know who would be interested in this as a product, it will be complete, however you have to use your own pvc (inside joke)

technically you can do whatever needed to make it work, or whatever you want. The important thing is that the turbo isn't to small ,and not allowing for enough boost for the given engine size, the other side of that is that the turbo isn't to big, and the small engine wouldn't even be able to spin the turbo fast enough to produce enough boost. Those are the two musts, past that picking a turbo isn't that big of a deal, or atleast isn't that big of a hassle problem. Look for small displacement domestics such as the 2.2 mustang Turbo's, turbo chryslers, or grand nationals, and go from there.

Turbo in the rear? I think you mean that setup those guys in Utah are doing on the lt1? (Def not my cup of tea there)
This setup is totally custom specifically for the Fbody. Considering the huge differences in chassis/engine placement between a Fiero and a Fbody, we thought that the best approach...

LOL... that's not a problem. We're going through, discovering one problem after another, and fixing it all.
The fun part is boosting it, while trying to NOT blow my freaking engine up!
Stay tuned... as we work out the bugs, and we get times/hp numbers, it'll all get posted...
