Oil Pan Gasket '84 GMC vs '86 Maro

Putting an '86 Camaro FI block into my '84 2bbl GMC Jimmy.... I need to swap oil pans because of the front differential. (Jimmy has a deep sump pan). Will the pans be interchangeable? I havn't gotten the '86 block out yet so I can't compare the two. (Doing this at my friends house 60miles away) and want to know what oil pan gasket to use.

Parts stores as me if I have a goodwrench 12bolt pan on the car?

I know an '88 Camaro 2.8 and '93 2.8 Blazer oil pans are different... is the front of your Jimmy's oil pan V shaped, or U shaped?

My '88 Camaro oil pan has a U shaped front...

Yes and no. Front timing cover may need to be changed. Oil pickup tube is different so of course it needs to be changed. I know hen I did my version of the 3.4 GMHP put me in the hole $2200 long block S10 blazer boogie all the parts needed to be changed but you already knew about the top end so no supprise there.

It looks like there were a few more bolts, on the front of the gasket of the jimmy than the camaro... and the back bolts had bigger holes on the jimmy.

Can I just swap the pick up/pan/timing cover from the jimmy to the camaro block?

If I remeber correctly, the AZ computer asks if you have a regualr pan or goodwrench pan. that might explain the different number of bolt holes in the gasket/pan/block.
