How much for a 3.4?

I've been looking into swapping my 3.1 for a 3.4. I might be able to get a complete engine w/ 57k on from a 94 camaro for around $850 shipped.

Does this sound reasonable?

do it. Also score a matching 4L60E to complete teh project. Be the first to go all the way w/the L32 in a thirdgen (that I know of).

Is that the transmission? Sorry, I'm not sure of all the 4th gen terms. =)

Anyway, I already have a v6 T-5 ready to bolt up to it. ^_^

Why haven't many others done this combo before? Will the T5 handle the 3.4?

according to teh gawdfather (Karl~ KED85), about 30 or so have done this. Dale did the whole swap on his truck, Karl did his to look exactly like the 2.8 that was replaced, & I did a modified (bastardization) of both of those. 89cmrodriver did it, .I know I'm missing some . But usually either the 2.8/3.1 is still running good, no 3.4 available, or the 3.4 costs too much, or a combination of any/all.

I have gotten permission that once I get the funds, 3.4l swap is approved in my camaro

After woman gets new daily driver, t5 and turbo are allowed on the camaro :lala:
