We're on the same page!
BUT in CA the VIN tells the Smog guy what engine ORIGINALLY came under your hood!
ALSO A carb'd 2.8 is the PERFECT SUBJECT for a V8 upgrade! (except again, the VIN says a V6 originally was there).
AND one can buy a Carb'd 2.8 F Body ride for so cheap to make a even cheaper V8 upgrade, too!

If you only have liabillity on your car it won't mean much..you could drop in a V10...they go by the VIN number..and besides they are covering the people you hit, not your car so to speak
