I dont think Ive heard "more" air, but cooler/denser yea.... no coolant going through the TB keeps it cooler. But then there's the argument of the TB freezing up or something. I did the loop thing recently b/c I had to either do that or replace the two hoses on the bottom of the TB... went to get the hoses and non of the autoparts stores knew wtf I was talking about .. ah well. Got all the info I needed with pictures when I searched the board... Searching is a wonderful thing

The coolent bypass does not alow more air to flow. What its is is that is a cerculation of hot coolent that is flowed around the TB. When you bypass it your not alowing any coolent to flow around and WARM it up. Less heat=Denser air=more oxygen per inch=more power.

To bypass you take off your robber boot conecting your TB to the stock intake boxes. Underneath it and the TB you will see 2 .75" hoses that are about 3" long connecting the TB to the Intake i think. These are the coolent lines. Take them both off, some fluid will come out but just get a few papertowls to soak it up, i took the hoses that came off and used one to connect TB to TB and intake to intake. Hose clamp them back up and you nolonger have any coolent to run through TB.

The reason for this coolent to be there in the first place is to keep the TB from freezing shut or open in the winter.

The power results from this were not noticable, but anything helps. You may beable to detect more change if you have a CAI.
