V6 quarter times seem too slow.

I was at the track yesterday and my friend took his 91 RS 3.1. It has only 67,000 miles and was in great shape. Anyway he ran a best of 19.0@73 mph and had 2.6 60 ft with his automatic. We are at 5500 feet but the corrected time was still 18 flat that seems a bit slow don't you guys think?Could the fact that his motor was running at like 225 degrees have anything to do with it?

you also may wanna check the t-stat and make sure the fan is coming on. also make sure the air dam is there. i had the same problem w/ mine earlier this year.

simple solution....put a fan switch on it. don't bypass all of the automatic fan stuff, just tap into the ground wire off of the relay then run that wire to a switch inside and run another wire off of the switch to a ground source. anytime the switch is on, the fan is too...when the switch is off, the fan will come on when the computer tells it to.

Yeah, find out why she's running that hot. Either thermostat, bad water pump, clogged radiator, or worst case - blown head gasket.

See sig for my best, without the turbo.

OUCH.. I was lucky my 2.8 started running at 16.4 and only got faster.

Okay buy a 160 thermostat, flush the cooling system and see if the car stays around 160-180. Then take bags of ice and ice the plenum down as you wait and inbetween runs.
