What's it weigh?

Power windows vs Manual windows? Any idea of the weight diff?

How about manual locks vs power locks?

I'm curious if any of you guys have played with both. Right now, I have power nothing, and the car is nice and light. I'd like to keep it that way, until I get the 3.1 done.

So you're saying PW and PL are only worth 7 lbs?

7 actually.... plus it's weight that gets distributed near the car's CG... so.. uh... hmm

Guess I can't use that excuse for the manual windows in my '86 anymore

Car: None! =(
Engine: My own two feet.
Transmission: My, uh.. Knees?
Hmm.. This would be cool.

Yea, I know I have this in a thread I accidently started, I meant only to reply to this one.. i should be more wary of which buttons I click!

Anyway... How hard/costly is it to add power windows and power door locks to a car lacking those nice features? Would a remote starter add much weight, too? I want to be able to walk up to my car, and as I'm doing so, unlock the doors and fire up the engine. Of course, the real dream will be with a turbo'd 3.4 under the hood as opposed to the 2.8 that's there now (Which pulls harder than any of my friends cars, amazingly enough.) but that's not happening until I learn how to make my car run fine as it is now, heh. Have a nice day, folks!
