How much can I get for my 3.1 + t-5?
Gonna put an ad in the paper this week and how much should I ask for my running 3.1 /w 105k miles. It runs good, no power loss, My wiring was just bad in my vehicle. Nothing wrong with the motor itself.
Just gave it a tuneup 3 months ago, changed the oil, spark plugs, wires, coil, new cap and rotor, even the electronic spark module, the works.
Tranny has the same milage but my T5 shifts damn good, fluid was blood red as should be, no build up or anything.
Flywheel is six months old, has a few hot spots on it, nothing big, can still see the machine lines on it. Clutch is 6 months old as well, looks real good.
Im gonna sell it as a complete package, bellhousing, flywheel, motor, tranny, slave and master cylinders for the clutch, automatic and t5 wiring harness (I have both). Accessories also. I was thinking maybe $800? Gotta get rid of it since I got the LT1 + t56 coming this week. Thanks.

I think most people will say that they'd take it off your hands for free. Around here the Scrap Yards charge about $300cdn for a running engine & tranny (any size) I paid $600cdn for my LB9 (out of the paper)
I'd say that $800 is a little high especially without a harness

Sounds a tad high guy. I know you spent some money on your new engine but that 3.1 ain't gonna pay for it.
A T5 n part are worth $100-150 , I paid $125 for mine and that was high as the supply was low.
Motor $200-300 from any junk yard with a 30 day warranty.
Might do better parting out the engine as people around here need stuff. Then sell the "short block" to a 2.8 owner on ebay.

Hmmm, Well, I suppose i'll try for $500 in the paper, if I get no takers i'll throw it to the local shop and take what they give me.
