My MPFI intake port job!

I took some pics of my port job on my intake. Let me explain a little on what I did

First, I looked into the bore of the throttle body, and I saw that the throttle body was not set dead on with the opening of the intake, so I carved away some meat around the opening of the intake and I also increased the upper curve clearence (i hope that makes sense).

Next I flipped the top manifold over to check out the 6 holes that allow air to flow into the middle manifold, the inside of the tunnel is about 1 1/8", but the holes are only 1"!! So I opened the holes on both manifolds to match the size of the tunnels. This should help somewhat.

I also smoothed the curve that comes before the hole. (Not very technical am i? lol!)

Here are some pictures, please note that I am not finished, i have some cleanup to do on them.

Hole BEFORE port job

Hole AFTER port job

comparing the holes before and after

Also please note that you can only take off meat from one side of the hole, it's the only side that will make a difference. Look at the pencil markings to see which side i mean. Also, you can only take off so much before it just wont make any difference. I opened them up only enough to match the tunnels.

I used a dremil and some cutters for this job. If you have access to a mill, MILL them instead for better results. I should have used the mill at work didnt think about it till it's too late.

OK looking at the engine from the front.

Did ya notice its like they only made a gasket for the right side and then just flips it over for the other side.
And it doesn't really fit right. On mine the left side gasket hung into the port a good 1/8-1/4 in.
