1991 3.1 200k break down

Alright, spent the night taking the old 3.1 apart. Speedo said 189,xxx when it broke. Dunno how long it had been broke. Drove it 2+ months not working(after realizing it was broke), replaced speedo, that was 5 months ago, or more. So I'm guessing 200k on it.

1. Timing chain replaced about same time as speedo, chain so bad it had started wearing on the cover, breaking the gasket.
2. Heads had been rebuilt sometime before I got it.
3. Two of the rockers from head job had come loose again
4. 2 of the intake bolts were finger loose
5. All freeze plugs had to be replaced at some point.
6. rear main replaced same time tranny died (about 1.5 years ago)
7. All 3 pistons on the drivers side were rubbing on the inner of the cylinder wall
8. Cam has even, but strage wear pattern
9. Oil screen caved in, and had debris sticking in it.
10. Crank bushings appear to be worn decently/even, but no strange patterns.
11. Carbon buildup out the wazooo!!

so, why did you want the 3.4 again?

That engine had more crap in it than the 77 T/A motor did when I took it apart & found 3 main bearing spun & 1 w/the 3" sliver coming off of it.
