Just thought I would share my "other" build up

well, if you can recall, w long while back I bought a nice little import called the Conquest.

Well, I decided to go to MPI over TBI (Even though under TBI it still ran 13.76@95 1/4- power was 242/286)
So I started looking at options... well to switch to MPI and header ECM etc... was well over 1700! OUCH...
So I decided to go one better. A known swap that does 375 to the wheels under 12 Lbs boost.

A 4G64 block (2.4 Mitsubishi) and a 4G63 (2.0L Mitsubishi) head.
Why the different head? simple the DOHC baby. 67% increase in flow rate over the '64's SOHC.

Along with.. a Super T60 with a T4 exhaust .48 trim. I should be doing boost @1600!

Bad thing... I need to make a transmission adapter plate. I have already called to get things set up for the swap/build and it comes to a little over $1600

But I should be deep into the 11's when done. LS1 here I come with my little 4 banger.

camaro tech... after this is done, during the summer I will be doing something similar to a 3.4 with the T4 from the conquest.

That 12A won't flow for a 3.4 past ~4000... just warning you. I started my project with a 12A in my hands... it left rather quickly.

And good luck with the starion.. good riddance to that POS TBI

Well the TBI was not POS, but a hinderence past a certail level of power.
I justify that statement by it running into the 13's, and afterall it IS A FOUR BANGER, that is 15! years old.

I am not looking at heavy power with the 3.4, but I will probly take the 12A and build to a 16G/17C

And how many Starions have burned to the ground thanks to that POS TBI? It's not good.. it's one of the biggest screwups i've seen DSM pull off.. and to boot, TBI allows the air/fuel mixture to condense inside the intake runners under boost.. blow-through TBI turbocharging was a mistake in more ways than one. But as I said, good riddance to it.. and good luck making that thing into a real monster =)
