Decided to take the Camaro out for a drive since i got it back from the shop the other day, still incomplete, waiting for some vacuum lines to come on. So right now, the only problem i know if is a vacuum leak at the EGR.

Ran fine....until i got up to 70mph. Between 70-76mph, the whole car will just start shaking. Makes me feel as if i'm inside a Harley....ugh! LoL 80+, car runs smooth, so i have no clue as to whats wrong. Any suggestions?

my car does the same, except at differant speeds, im about 55-70 shaking. check out my "i hate my car" thread, they told me my tires are probably not balanced right, which i believe to be correct

You could have just had a wheel balancing weight come off... kinda strange that it only happens between 70-76 though.

If your running stock 20 year old rims you know the problem. New rims are so sweet. Course i just buy replacement cheap steel but its so worth it. Had several car become smooth as silk up and beyond 100 after some new rims.

not a fan of aluminum, to soft, wont take the abuse steel will, heard of to many people who almost died when they walked off the lugs.

89driver - thats what my dad says also....guess i'll go have them looked at.....only a few bucks to balance each tire to, right? gonna have new vacuum lines installed next week, will wait off and see if they can do it also!

Vortex - yeah, i thought it was very strange myself...i made sure to look at my speedo also. right when i was hitting 70, boom, starting shaking....i went up a bit more to around 76, started dying down, went to 80, was gone. So iono

Gumby - Don't have cash for new rims right now, wish i did though, and hopefully will within the next few months!

One tip. I found cheap chrome rims were cheaper than stock replacement rims. Especially if you stick to the stock size. You can get em for $100 a set some times. Check local trade paper for them odd ball adds.

How old are your tires.. have you curbed that at all. Could be a broken/shifted belt in the tire. Low pressure.
