BTW, the numbers we slap down with the turbo (as soon as it's complete) will be using the MTC-5 camshaft, on a stock 3.1. So yeah, that's the same numbers you can expect, with the MTC-5 cam, and the VP kit.

If it still runs good, boost it. if it run like crap build it.
These engines last forever with little power lose.
On ones taken care of anyways.

I'm sorry, but if you've got 30+ psi of exhaust backpressure in your turbo, under 15psi of boost, then you've got way too small of a turbo, plan and simple.

Oh.. btw.. stock injectors managed to feed 7psi
... sad to say, my first kill with the turbo... '87 2.8l Camaro LT.. with a driver that seemed absolutely convinced his car was the fastest thing ever produced. It wasn't.

You've got a problem there... there's no way stock 13pph injectors are feeding 7psi, unless you're building boost, but the engine just isn't feeding off of it...
Could have the same problem I did - inaccurate boost gauge

I'm not exactly at sea level.. it's entirely possible. And the boost gauge is dead accurate.. it's an actual vac/pressure tester, remember?

techsmurf , you'll have a nice setup....like our planes, they actually don't provide "boost" (if they really were, they'd break stuff" but the turbochargers provide that extra force at altitude to allow the engine to breath as if it was at a lower altitude....so in denver, they can act like they're on the ground at neworleans, aka, you'll still outperform the other n/a cars in ur area, even on barely any boost.
