Got the car back from the Tran shop today and well....

Hey everyone,

I got my car back from the trans shop today (need to vent here) After them having the car for a week now, I get the car back and have no kick down what so ever unless I manual shift thur the gears!

I told them when I dropped the car off I would like to have the kick down cable replaced since its broken(and they didnt do it!)

I called them up after getting home and told them the car wasnt driving right and what the case was, they said to return it in the am to have a new cable installed!

I dont know that I want to return even tho they rebuilt the trans since when they road tested it that they didnt noticed that it wasnt kicking down, would you go someplace else?

makes me wonder about whats going to happen after the 1 year is over and I am on my own with it then.

a 700R4 is a crap shot no matter what. When they first came out people didn't want to rebuild them. Them early front pumps were a bitch. once they went the system was so full of crap they couldn't clean it 100% without replacing everything. Not sure how the newer ones are but its still a funky tranny in my book.

I would only buy new or new rebuilt from a major brand name.

Keep in mind the early 700R4 put me off, can't comment much on the newer ones.
