what the problem is
dude i just put a new TPS on my 2.8 89 camaro. the cars idle raises pretty high in the morning at about 20rpms is that normal and where should it idle? when i put it in drive it idles at 550rpm. do i have to do this with a DMM to make it be right and please give me some guidelines to follow. ill love u forever if u guys can help me.

Yep, the spec for our 2.8's, at idle, is 0.55 volts +/- 0.05 volts. And yeah, you'll need a digital multimeter to do this.

Axle/Gears: 3.42
Mine tends to like 0.52 volts, had it at .56 for awhile and on rare occasion the car would try to idle higher than normal. Seems to work real nice this way.

when i use my DMM it will not let me set it in the voltage mode. i set it at 20v and the reading is 0. the directions in the manaul for the meter tells me to set it for 20k ohms. what am i doing wrong guys help me please.
