New, stupid question...

I can't for the life of me, find the crank bolt to my 3.1. Being that I'm stationed in Germany, I can't very well run down to the local Chevy dealer and get me one. But I did find a late model Blazer w/ a V6 in it at the base's wrecking yard and pulled it. Problem is, the thread pitch doesn't look the same. I would use a thread pitch guage to check it, but it doesn't reach far enough back plus it's too small a hole to tell if it matches.
So the stupid question is...what is the thread pitch of a 92 RS 3.1 crank bolt? Is it a 12mm x 1.25, or a 12mm x 1.5?

If I recall correctly, it's 12 x 1.50.

You are correct Tom, Thanks.
I took a chance and ran the crank bolt from the Blazer in. Whatever was holding up the rethread tap didn't stop the bolt.
I swear I tried a 12x1.5 bolt before and it came out mangled, but the pitch didn't look like 12x1.25 so I was really stumped. Ireally didn't want to try it again, but I figured what the hell.
Now I can get this engine built and back in the car.

Yea it sucks not having any 3rd gens in the strip-lot doesn't it. The only one I ever found was completely stripped to nothing. I was in Baumholder.

I lost my crank pulley bolts when i changed my timing chain somehow. Had to use 2 bolts out of my puller set until my dad could mail me some more from the states.
