Code 44 is back!

Well after driving in a torrential thunderstorm and after hitting a few lake-sized water puddles the good old SES light came on. After jumping out the ALDL it came to be that I had a code 44. Now it comes on after driving five to ten minutes on the open road each and every time since that event happened.

The only conclusion that I can phantom is that the Oxygen sensor was thermally shocked while driving through that high water. It must be giving the ECM a faulty signal.

Has anyone else had this occurence?
