Trailer Hitch help???
Ok, guys. I put my trailer hitch on today, Looks good. It had 2 bolts on each side where they connected to the frame. NOw it also has a place where it should hook to the bumper metal. Those tow bolts are small and wouldn;t hodl much weight. I even snapped one trying to take it off. So i snapped both and just mounted the hitch to the frame. Four bolts all together, holding it to the frame. Nice big ones! Will that hold it? I can't attach those other two because they are broke. They are small anyway. Do i really need it or will what I have here work fine? Also how do I wire it up? Thanks guy

If the guy you bought the hitch from don't have the instructions, go to a truck accessories shop and get a copy of the installation instructions. They might even sell you the bolts too..

They are about a half inch. The thing is on there good. I think the other little part was just a guide. Because if you were to break the four big ones, then your going to ripp that bumper right off
The only thing is, now my exhuast is a bit out of wack, Looks funny. It seems like the tow hitch isn't centered for some reason, any ideas. It hooked to the frame right too?

I'd rather have a truck than an suv, but i can't afford one for now. I'm thinking about putting a hitch on my car too.
Post some pics of it if you can.
The wiring you need to splice into the wires at the taillights. There's something you can get that hooks to the battery and uses the wire splices as a signal and then uses power straight from the battery (i think), supposed to isolate the trailer system from the rest of the electrical system. I kinda held off on my hitch lately because i'm paranoid about my tranny, so now i can't remember everything i learned about the wiring

Thanks man, not sure what to do for wiring yet, still looking into it. I have two big bolts on each side of the frame. The only thing i did not do was connect two bolts that go to my bumper. They are small and where rusted to hell. I broke one and cut the other off. Even if i put new bolts in, it wouldn't do nothing. I think thats just to hold it up during installation. This way here also i do not ripped my bummper off if something lets go. So good this way. That thing is up there good now, The only thing is, it makes my exhuast look way out of wack. But I will leave it until i get my flowmaster. The hitch is hard to see and I like it. I have no other car, so this works. I will try to get pictures for ya. Thanks man
