IMHO, never ever ever buy a turbo you can't physically inspect first, nor one you don't have specs on what it came off of or a flowmap for...

Yes, I do have to say, (after bashing it, lol) is that $50 for a core is NOT unreasonable.
Garret turbos can be rebuilt cheaply - I can clean and rebuild it for about $250 + s/h, as a matter of fact.
Post some pics of it?

This doesn't solve the applicability issue.. wtf did it come off of or where's a flowmap? Get some pics.. we might be able to track down its origin

On a 3.4?
14B (405cfm - stock stick shift 1g dsm) is too small. You can go the route I did, and upgrade it to a 16G (525cfm) but even that is a tad small on a 3.4
There is teh CT26, again, a bit small on a 3.4L (that's the stock turbo on a MkIII Supra, same flow as a 16G)
Going the boneyard route, a CT26 will be the only real bet.
If you purchase a new turbo, shoot me a PM, I'll see what I can find, that will run well... I've got a commercial account with a local turbocharger dealer, so I get some good deals.

14B or 16G, if there to small you can all ways get 2 of them.
Your 3.4 is only going to eat about 300cfm at 6500rpm's.
To size your turbo your going to want to go with some thing that will flow 500-600cfm at the least at your targeted boost level (Time for lb/min compressor map).
