sometimes I can understand "structuring" the boards but good grief.
It is honestly pushing alot of the people off. Alot of times they want to come on, talk about cars, their life, what's going on. Yeah sometimes the topics can stray, but it used to be all good.
BS a little here, tech it the majority of the time.
Now (not meaning to **** anyone off) people get touchy and prissy over the smallest things. Man mention your day without a "technical" anything and L.T.F.O. all hell is gonna rain down on ya.
Yeah, the majority of the posters are good guys, and wanna talk tech to help people. But sometimes they just wanna BS around some too.
Again, the vast majority of the members of any board do nothing or pay nothing to help the site cover costs of whatever. Thats ok in my book.
I am not meaning to trash anything or anyone, just giving a growing (and I find personally disturbing) trend that is going on.

The "official" non-tech site for thirdgen.org guys is http://www.nethirdgen.org , MacGuyver's site. There's also http://www.sethirdgen.org, which I haven't been to in years, but GMTech wrote some amazing tech articles down there.

TomP said it.. ThirdGen.Org is TECH ONLY. We relax a bit on the regional boards, but there is virtually *ZERO* tolerance on the tech forums. If you don't like it, take it up with IROCZTWENTYGR8 or Dirk. But before you try that, read this thread... https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=152066
In case that thread doesn't convey the message well enough, "It's not happening. Period." ... if you want to BS, that's great, do it elsewhere.
