thm200c to 700r4 swap

I have an 83 v6 sport coupe with the metric 200c trans in it, I have an 87 700r4 trans that I want to put in it, will the lockup controls for the 200c work for the 700r4?
My 200c is just about smoked!!!

I would say you are ahead of the game by having the "parts" from the past tranny "on the car"
You should be able to intergrate all the stuff to function correctly.
IF aftermarket can, why not yourself?
I feel for ya.
I'm having tranny surgery done also very soon.
Good luck!

The trans forum would have the best answer; 82 V8's got the 200C trans, so they should be able to help with the lockup question.

Do you also have the 700r4's torque convertor, driveshaft, crossmember, and torque arm mount? If not, you'll need to grab 'em off a junkyard car.
