Found a leak , but i don't know what it is

Found a leak , but i don't know what it is

alright guys, my cars is running rough like always but i think i found part of the problem, just down the from the drivers side valve cover, theres 2 copper coloured pipes leading into the exaust manifolds(i'm pretty sure thats what it is). what are those 2 copper hoses?

might be egr or air pump.


is the copper pipe ribbed ?

but its not ribbed? what exactly is it leaking? exhaust? oil? gas?

I think those are your egr piping tubes, they run behind the motor. They split and go into one pipe right?

yep
egr piping, i looked today (it was dark last night) and figured out it was the egr, its got a bubbling happening (like a wet tire with a leak) right where it enters the exaust manifold

could that be making my car run so damn ****ty?

I don't know if an exhuast leak could make your car run to bad, and you said it is small. It may change emissions things though. I know i had to replace that on mine along with the metal tube that runs behind the motor. PITA How is your car running?

just get a tube of muffler cement and cover the hole in the egr tube
