Oppssss, i screwed up...
Well I was on my way home, and on a back rd, so i stopped under the street light and revved it to about 4500 and popped the clutch and heald it for like 10 seconds. I figured it wouldn;t hurt to much, and i rarley ever beta on my car. While it was spinning it was at about 5-5000 rpm. Well now I have a exhuast leak on my drivers side of the car. I jusrt replaced the exhuast manfold gaskets on both sides, could i have blown that out? Or could the dounut connecting the Y pipe and the manifold have blow out, whats most likely b4 I go ripping this thing apart? Thanks
P.S. Don't beat on your car, althought have some nice rubber ont he quaters to show off tomorrow

The donuts between my manifolds & y-pipe is cast iron; not sure what they used in '88, but I'd doubt that's it. The bolts might've loosed up, tho.
I'd just block the wheels, put the car in neutral, and set the parking brake, and try to "feel" where the exhaust leak is.
Oh also you shouldn't have exhaust manifold gaskets- from the factory, our manifolds went right against the bare block.
I beat on my V6 all the time; I think that's why it's lasted so long- but I've got an automatic, never done a burnout at that high of RPM.
