Cloud of smoke??

Last night i went to go pass a car i was doing about 25 before passing so i dropped the car into second and passed. My car revved to about 4500-5000 RPM when i looked behind me i saw a small cloud of smoke that looked like it came from my car. Any idea what this is? Im thinking it could be oil leaking through my valves. The car ahs 235,000 miles on it. Is there anything i should worry about and any cheap fixes for this if there is a problem. It does not smoke or anything driving around town.

Should i worry about it if it is only doing it at high rpm's? I take it thats probly how i am loosing 1 qt of oil every 3000 miles.

i'd take care of it as soon as you have the cash, it leads to more problems

such as oil leaking onto the spark plugs, resulting in hard starts and smokey startups

So basicly my rings are fried is what your saying
If thats the case ill just drive her til she dies 235,000 miles insit worth a ring job to me. I figure i have another 15,000 miles left on the enigne before it self distructs.
