Nitrous test results
Unfortunately I didn't get to the track for some accurate comparo numbers. Let's just say it went like this:
I set up at a deserted 1/2 mile long road, opened the bottle valve and put the car in gear. I grabbed hold of the plunger trigger and activated the bypass switch. I powerbraked to about 2000 and launched. The rpm's hit about 4000 and I hit the button....Power hit HARD and when I hit 2nd the tire broke loose and the rear got a little funky. Stayed in it till the top of 2nd gear and let off the button (stayed on the accelerator). I hit 3rd and let off when I noticed the speedo was wrapped.
SO kids, long story short, it works....WELL. I plan on taking it to the track next weekend (1/8 mile, sorry). I'm hoping to hit a 9.6, I figure that a .4 gain in the 1/8 is pretty decent for a 50 shot. I need to make sure that my tranny is ok as well, I noticed driving home that it sliped out of 3rd gear on me (might have low tranny fluid) Lucky for me the tranny's under warranty at the pro shop. I'll be taking the car there this week to figure out my idle issue anyhow, i'll let my mechanic check it
I'm happy it didn't blow up

is that a wet or dry 50 shot?
pics n details are a must.
FYI when i talked to Holley a long while ago they said a 65 shot is safe for the 2.8
Oh and that was a 65 shot dry system they said was fine. Of course with a return cut off to boost fuel pressure.

It's a wet one, 50 shot for now. I did a Gtech 0-60 of 6.12...dunno how accurate that is though. I'm gonna hold off on the 1/4 test until I get the car running right. I keep wussing out and letting off before 3rd gear. I'm almost positive it will do 14's now though. I'll take pics tonite and post them (IMG tagging doesn't usually worjk for me).
