My car has been having a problem of not starting the first time in the morning for a few weeks now. After the 2cd or 3rd try it would start up, but with a lot of hesitation sometimes. The other day i put in seafoam into my brake booster and let it stall. Started it up 30 minutes later and smoke was coming out the tailpipe, blueish color. It will also coming directly from the engine, not sure of exact location. Drove it around was fine; definately seemed to b running better. Next morining it started on the first try.... How and Why did i fix the problem with seafoam? Is the blueish color comin out w/ seafoam normal? And why is it coming out directly from the motor (maybe indication of an exhaust leak???)

The reason it take 2-3 tries is your fuel solenoid is shot or the circuit is broken. So the pump does not prime till you get 7psi of oil pressure. And then it start n run funny for a sec as it take a min for it to build proper pressure.

 

It is possible that there was a build up of carbon on the backs of the intakes valves. The Seafoam would remove this.

The reason this carbon build up causes a slow start is that it absorbs the fuel until saturated (like a sponge). Once saturated the injected fuel will then make it to the chamber and the engine starts.
