basic 3.4lt swap questions...

WHat vehicles did this motor come in? Are some better to use than others (were some more horsepower, better internals stock than others)? Does the 3.4 have a spot for the Cold Start Injector? What needs to be used speciffically off the 3.4 block? I think thats it for now.

If you were set on a V6 drop, I'd put a 3.8L in. Better overall engine that handles abuse better. I've had more issues with my 3.4L than any good boy should, lol. The three-eights also come from the 93-2002 camaro / firebird. Shouldn't cost you that much more $$.

But the 3.4 is a direct block swap! no extra work besides that...a 3.8 or v8 will require rewiring!

IF the car already comes w/an electronic speedo, the rewireing is kept to a min. Just have to splice in the vats (if yo hae it or do bypass) and the about 6wires in the engine bay. The gauge wires are jsut track down & splice. The key is to get those right (I did a gcluster swap to a newer yr & am still working those issues) and the motr mount brackets. The tranny k-member is in the same spot & 99% of all teh wiring for the 3800 to run is in the bay, alon gw/the pcm.
