Turn indicators no worky, advice?

When I did my clutch, I accidentally crushed a few wires between the bell housing and the block. They were the wires that lead to the transmission.. im guessing one is for the VSS and one is for the shift indicator. Ever since that happened, my turn indicator fuse blows when the car is running and the turn signals are on. Could there have been a wire around there for the signals? The bulbs work fine BTW, there is just a short somewhere. I really hate to pull the trans+bellhousing back to rescue the wires... any way I could make a splice? When it is light outside I will try and get some pictures of what i'm talking about.

Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
The back-up lights draw power from the same fuse; if you crushed one of those wires (blue and/or green) it is grounding out, that is the problem.

yep, theyre on the same circuit. i couldnt figure out why my turn signals kept blowing fuses. after a while i realized that once it happened, my reverse lights wouldnt work either. did some checking and found that my reverse switch was bad and grounding.
